MOMMA LOVES… wide leg pants (for a change)

I am obsessed with these Zara wide leg pants – they have the feel of a maxi skirt but the mobility of pants!

No problem chasing you know who around in these pants! And I absolutely love the way they move!

And these pants have hidden slits up them for when you feel like showing a little leg!

One of my favorite trends of late are super wide leg pants. You can call them palazzo pants or even skirt pants but whatever you call them, they are SO incredibly comfortable and elegant that you will never want to put on anything else! These wide leg pants glide with the flare of a mazi skirt but with the mobility an feel or pajamas. They can take you effortlessly from the office to the playground to date night with a few simple accessory changes. The versatility of these wide leg pants make them a true must have and the added bonus is that they will transition easily for fall! The key is to pair them with something more body conscious, tailored or even slightly cropped on top to balance the volume – and as simple as that – you have a perfect outfit! MOMMA LOVES… camisoles – the perfect summer sleeveless!

Camisoles are not just for layering anymore – they are, in fact, the ideal summer top! Camisoles are essentially sleeveless, lightweight blouses – they can be more lingerie like but there are so many more variations to keep you cool and feminine in the warm weather. Of course, this post must come with the caveat that the slinkier sexier camisoles should be layered for the office – if it looks like underwear – that’s wear it belongs in a professional setting. That said, camisoles can look amazing paired with anything from distressed denim to maxi skirts to a sexy mini for evening. When the weather gets hot – who wants to wear sleeves – camis give you that refined feminine alternative to basic tanks. There has been nothing on my site that has been searched for more than the Fendi peekaboo monster bag – of course it was sold out in seconds at every retailer, so when I saw that it is once again available I had to do a post! MOMMA KNOWS… the importance of child friendly furniture

When your little one gets mobile – its all about finding child friendly furniture – rounded edges and cushioning are key (and they look a lot better than those foam baby proofing corners)

As soon as your little one starts crawling you realize – your home is a death trap its time for consider child friendly furniture – so that you can keep your home chic without having to bubble wrap the living room. Baby proofing can be overwhelming – it seems everything in your home can inflict harm on your beloved little ones – which is why child friendly furniture is so desirable. Its normal furniture we know a love with rounded edges and softness that allows us to keep our big girl home while feeling comfortable that it won’t cause injury to our little girls and boys… This does not, however, mean you can rest easy and take your eyes off of them for one minute – newly mobile infants and clumsy toddlers can always find trouble – it just means that you can rest a little easier. I have talked about maxis and minis but there’s a new length in town – it’s midi skirts that are pretty, polished and poised to grab some attention. MOMMA LOVES… textured accessories

Textured accessories – get the expensive look (this bag is embossed leather – no dinosaurs were harmed!)

There is no questions that textured accessories have a gorgeous expensive look. There is just something about those bags and shoes with an embossed leather or even the look of a skin (real or faux) that gives them that next level feeling. Textured accessories are richer, exotic and completely captivating (at least if you are an accessory addict such as myself). They give off that vibe that makes you want to reach out and touch them… Perhaps they take us back to our youthful love of pat the bunny and the various kids books where we learned to understand touch and feel. The incredible thing is that these textured accessories don’t have to be expensive – certainly when dealing with real skins (from fur to snake) prices sky rocket but there is so much technology that you can get that reach out and touch me look from embossed leather and even the faux leather fabrications that are now available. Bare in mind – fabrics such as python are actually illegal in certain places (such as California) so its incredible that designers such as Stella McCartney (who only uses vegan materials) has delivered that stunning texture in animal friendly fabrics… Check out some of my favorite textured accessories that take the bags and shoes we love to another level – and you won’t want to take your eye or hands off them!

MATERNITY MONDAY… non maternity clothes to wear during pregnancy

The search is always on for non maternity clothes to wear during pregnancy – because sometimes we just want to wear real clothes that you can still wear when you get your body back. I know during my own pregnancy I was on a constant quest for these type of items – clothes with elastic waste bands, stretch, ruching and with a bit more volume to accommodate my growing bump that could last well beyond the nine months.
