MOMMA KNOWS… pumps pump it up

IMG_9176

My Christian Louboutin pigalle pumps are my forever shoes – these are actually my second pair of the exact same pair – the first pair lasted 10 year until they started to fall off my feet.

I remember being 20 and thinking pumps were the end of youth – that these pointy toed footwear meant the beginning of adulthood and corporate life.  I held on to my clunky platform boots and my 90′s baby tee that proclaimed “Fashion sucks” when I first started at Conde Nast in the late 90′s only to come face to face with a pair of Gucci pumps (from one of Tom Ford’s first collections for the luxury brand) and, of course I fell head over heels (literally) in love.  The perfect pair of pumps is trendless, timeless, effortless and fabulous.  There are few accessories that can work so well with so much of your wardrobe – from pencil skirts to boyfriend jeans than these seasonless heels.  Check out some of my favorite pumps that you won’t ever want to take off.
