MOMMA NEEDS… transitional knits

I am obsessed with my new ALC sweater – its the perfect transitional knit! I guess it’s time to get ready for fall!

I actually look forward to wearing knits and jackets (this is southern California so nothing much heavier for us)!

But we’re still going to soak in every bit of summer we have left!

Its that time of year again, when there are a few summer bits left on the sale racks and fall fashion is in full bloom – so it’s time to start looking for those transitional knits! The great sweaters that will see us through the next few months as the nights get chillier but will still be entirely useful under those big heavy winter coats. Transitional knits are not those great chunky knits – these are thinner, more streamline and add an extra layer of warmth without leaving you feeling over heated. They are the perfect items of clothing to buy right now because you can wear it now and you can wear it later! Transitional knits are the perfect pullover or cardigan to throw in your bag and throw over your summer look when the air gets crisp. MOMMA LOVES… printed accessories add a stylish twist

Last week I talked about all the playful pattern mixing out there but there’s another way to pop your look and that’s with some fabulous printed accessories! MOMMA LOVES… the cutout trend for peekaboo sexy!

The cutout trend is the perfect amount of sexy for an evening out!

My little guy liked it so much he picked me some flowers to go with my One by Hunter Bell dress!

Showing a bit of skin doesn’t have to leave you over exposed and the cutout trend gives you the power to show as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. The cutout trend includes everything from a little sliver here or a triangle cut there and it’s the new modern way to be sexy while still keeping a bit of edge. While you may think this look is not for you, remember these area of exposed skin aren’t particularly gratuitous and therefore allow you to show as much or as little as you like. What to expect when you’re expecting – to be pregnant and fabulous of course!! MOMMA WANTS… fantasy footwear

I’m a girl who loves shoes, so fantasy footwear is always on my radar. I’ve done these posts a couple of times now because I just never tire of fabulous shoes! These aren’t your practical shoes, they’re hardly even functional – fantasy footwear are water cooler shoes. Shoes that may strangers stop you in the street to talk about them, gawk, even take pictures (believe me, it’s happened). Fantasy footwear can be astronomically expensive and entirely impractical – they are often closer to art that a simple accessory. In fact, they may only get worn a handful of times a year but when you do, you get your money’s worth. These aren’t shoes that make the outfit, fantasy footwear IS the outfit.
