Fabulous summertime accessories are those bits and pieces that actually make your look. I’m not talking about bags, shoes or even jewels (for a change) I’m talking about the hats, sunglasses and scarves that instantly transform your basic pieces into outfits. Its these summertime accessories that protect you from the sun whilst also injecting a bit of something extra special into your look. MOMMA NEEDS… cold weather accessories (brrr)

We don’y get snow in LA – but in the digital world I can make it happen – for those in the polar vortex it’s time for hats, scarves and gloves!

Cold weather accessories like my favorite Missoni hat are essential for surviving winter!

Of course, try explaining this to a 2 year old who doesn’t like to be fussed over…

When the temperature drops you’ll need more than just a great coat to stay warm – cold weather accessories are an absolute must! Hats, gloves, scarves to protect your extremities and keep in the heat are essential for winter for both you and you’re little ones! Water resistant or wooly there are some great cold weather accessories that will certainly keep you bundled up and safe from the frost this season. Yes, they will do the great service of keeping you warm but they also look pretty spectacular as well so it’s really a win win situation. As for our little ones – they may not like bundling up, and at times it may appear that the frigid temperatures bother them (not when they’re having fun and playing) but keeping their little vulnerable head, hands and necks warm couldn’t be more important! MOMMA LOVES… summer accessories (to pop your look)

We love our summer accessories – not only are they cute!

Sometimes they can actually be functional too!

With the warmer weather we lose our layers – jackets, coats, sweaters all go into storage and outfits get simpler, so its up to summer accessories to give your look a bit of a pop. I’m not talking about bags and shoes – I do plenty of those posts, I’m talking about the less talked about scarves, hats, sunglasses and the like, which can truly make an outfit. A simple pair of shorts and t-shirt can go from bland to super stylish with the right hat and jewels. Summer accessories are light and actually very functional (hats and sunglasses help provide protection from the sun) but they are also incredibly fun and fabulous. Stylists have long known it’s in these accessories that an outfit can go from ordinary to extraordinary so, although they are often overlooked, they can be the cornerstone of a great look. MOMMA LOVES… Orange crush – great orange options for us and them

As you may have noticed, I like orange. I always like a pop of color – but orange is so special because its a statement but it doesn’t have the girly-ness of pink or the look at me of red – its a unisex color with a bit of an edge. Its vibrant and modern and it just makes me smile. Its just great contrasting color to pair with shades of white, denim, or even color blocked with colors like pink and purple. I’m not talking about an orange overhaul – it might be a pop of orange print, and orange bag or just an orange lipstick… It brings light to the face because it has such warm undertones and I absolutely love dressing Max in orange. The beauty of orange is its also unisex – so when we were decorating his nursery and even when I’m shopping for his clothes I know orange will go a lot further (if we happened to ever have a girl). I also like it because its easy to keep an eye on Max when he’s wearing a bright pop of color. So, here it is – some of my favorite orange options for women and children!

MOMMA LOVES… leopard print accessories

One of the most iconic prints of all time is the leopard print. Its feminine yet cool, its lady like yet bohemian and leopard print accessories can add that extra pop of style into even the most ordinary outfit. Adding a bag, shoe even a belt in this animal print adds an extra polish that can turn your walk in the park jeans and t-shirt into brunch with the ladies. It is as wearable for the office as it is for a night out on the town. The leopard print never goes out of style and is always a great investment as its the easiest way to add a splash of something special to your overall look. MOMMA NEEDS… snow gear for moms and kids

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas – but the truth is, that’s not happening her in Los Angeles… That said, in many other parts of the world the white stuff is coming down and snow gear is a true necessity. So, whether its snowing where you are, or your planning on a ski trip or just doing a bit of apres skiing (looking cute in the outfits while drinking schnapps by the fire) I wanted to pass on some of my favorite snow gear for us mommas and our little ones!
