Getting ready for the first day of school with a whole new wardrobe!!

Well, summer is on it’s way out and it’s time for the kids to go back to school – which also means it’s time to do some shopping. I remember as a kid planning all my new outfits for my return to class. Well, my Max may not really care, but I am loving doing a bit of back to school shopping for his adorable new looks for the fall. Kids are not easy on their clothes, so it’s just as well they grow out of them so quickly, although not always the best for our pocket books… Fortunately there is a great range in prices tags for back to school worthy kids clothes! MOMMA LOVES… fabulous footwear

As the hottest new shoes for the next season are becoming available I have to do my fabulous footwear post which is a long time favorite of mine… The Carrie Bradshaw in me is completely drawn to the most fantastical, aspirational wild and crazy pieces that look more suitable to a museum than the street. Thanks to innovative designers such as Sophia Webster and Charlotte Olympia we can sometimes take the dive and invest in these wearable works of art. MOMMA LOVES… summer white

Soak in the last bit of summer with some fabulous whites!

Today I am wearing what I call summer white – a simple chiffon blouse with a blazer both in a shade of white that’s lighter than cream and my husband made the comment that he thought I looked beautiful in white. Well, that was enough of a reason for me to turn my attention to the official non color of summer. With August fast approaching its time to get in all that gorgeous summer white while you can! I personally am also a fan of winter white, so fear not – this is not a short term investment but people just tend to wear it more during the warmer months… Gorgeous summer white feels fresh and clean and illuminates your skin, all while keeping you cool in the heat. Pregnancy doesn’t mean the end of style, it just means a hunt for the best maternity clothes that make you feel chic and comfortable. Dont try squeezing into you normal clothes (the ones without stretch anyway) – that always looks way to constrictive and tragic… Just embrace your belly evolution and I can help you find some of the best maternity style on the market. Show some skin without giving it all away with some sexy off the shoulder options.

Eh, it’s summer time, some off the shoulder action is the perfect amount of skin to look and feel sexy without feeling over exposed. Everything from casual day blouses to a sexy dress for a night out on the town looks better with a bit of a bare shoulder. Not everyone feels comfortable being overtly sexy with exposing cleavage or the popular mid riff so opting for something that’s off the shoulder gives just the right amount of skin without giving it all away. MOMMA WANTS… to watch out for watches

They’re very different but I love these watches! Talk about form and function!

I’m someone that’s always on time so I’ve always worn watches. Years ago my husband (then boyfriend) gave me a rolex for Christmas which I absolutely love – its a men’s size so it has the practicality of time telling but feels like a pieces of jewelry. This has always been my go-to but in recent years thanks to the iPhone and not wanting to scratch my baby with it I’ve worn it less and less… The the apple watches came out. I am a sucker for all apple products so, of course I had to have it… Yes it tells time, but I also love the fitness element, this watch was less about the fashion and all about the technology. It also reignited my love for watches and for the first time I thought I should be posting about all the latest, greatest watches both for the fashion savvy and the tech lovers out there. MOMMA LOVES… 60s prints

A great poppy 60′s style print is always a great pattern to incorporate into your wardrobe!

I’m a huge fan of fun patterns and 60s prints are always a fun one to experiment with. The 60s were an era of exploration, experimentation, love and free spirit so these are the pop prints our mom’s wore and that we have, probably, been drawn to most of our lives. There are definitely times when 60s prints are more on trend than others but, quite frankly, they never really go away. Pucci, after all, has built an empire on the retro style. The key to not looking like you’re not dressing up for a themed costume day is to translate these 60s prints in a more modern way. Perhaps it’s in the cut or silhouette or the way it’s paired but the best rule of thumb is if you’re going to wear something 60s don’t go head to toe with the theme. MOMMA LOVES… shrunken bags syndrome

For reals Max, I’m totally feeling the Gucci shrunken bag…

It’s the super hot accessory trend I call shrunken bags – miniature versions of the accessories we know and love. These are perfect for when you don’t feel like carrying around everything but the kitchen sink… They’re very small – almost clutch size bags that are often cross body and transition perfectly from day to night. I have to say, it’s silly, but I hate carrying my huge day bag to the restaurant so having these shrunken bags are a great option! They’re the same great trends that we adore in our daytime accessories but without the weight – just carry some money, credit cards, a lipstick and your phone and really, that’s all you need!
