MOMMA’S UNDER $100… style on budget and on trend

Well, if you don’t want it Max… there’s plenty great things out there for under $100!

My bi-monthly under $100 is all about getting great style on budget that keeps you looking great without breaking the bank. Life is expensive and, for those of us with kids, our wants go way on the back burner in favor of our little one’s needs (and wants), so finding the clothes and accessories we covet without having to pay the big price tags is major. Fabulous style on budget means we get to tick our fashion itch guilt-free! Saving money is always in style and I know I get great pride when someone compliments me on something I’m wearing and I let them in on my little secret – its under $100… Finding stunning style on budget that can look as amazing as it’s high end inspiration is a sport for me and it brings me great pleasure to bring you my latest and greatest looks for less!

MOMMA LOVES… sexy strappy sandals for summer

Sexy strappy sandals are a staple shoe for summer!

Nothing screams summer like (safely) tanned legs, a great pedicure and some super sexy strappy sandals. I’m not talking about those flat gladiator styles – I’m talking about heels here. Strappy sandals never go out of style and are the perfect accompanying accessory to your favorite summer looks. No, not particularly comfortable for your park and beach outings but for a summer soiree, wedding, BBQ and even the office a gorgeous pair of strappy sandals never fails to stun. Whether sky high or just moderately high, metallic, neutral, or colorful – summer’s strappy sandals are a must have! MOMMA WANTS… the Fendi peekaboo monster bag (again)

The Fendi peekaboo monster bag – the “it” bag for a modern woman (with deep pockets and a sense of humor!)

There has been nothing on my site that has been searched for more than the Fendi peekaboo monster bag – of course it was sold out in seconds at every retailer, so when I saw that it is once again available I had to do a post! The Fendi Peekaboo monster is ladylike from first look, but open it up and its got an extra surprise setting it apart from all the rest – those crazy monster eyes!! This bag is crazy expensive – $5300 for the Fendi peekaboo monster version and $3950 for the non monster style – but it is undoubtedly an “it” bag. Check out this crazy bag – your kids will even get a kick out of it – it defines classic with a twist and is certain to sell out!

MOMMA LOVES… textured accessories

Textured accessories – get the expensive look (this bag is embossed leather – no dinosaurs were harmed!)

There is no questions that textured accessories have a gorgeous expensive look. There is just something about those bags and shoes with an embossed leather or even the look of a skin (real or faux) that gives them that next level feeling. Textured accessories are richer, exotic and completely captivating (at least if you are an accessory addict such as myself). They give off that vibe that makes you want to reach out and touch them… Perhaps they take us back to our youthful love of pat the bunny and the various kids books where we learned to understand touch and feel. The incredible thing is that these textured accessories don’t have to be expensive – certainly when dealing with real skins (from fur to snake) prices sky rocket but there is so much technology that you can get that reach out and touch me look from embossed leather and even the faux leather fabrications that are now available. Bare in mind – fabrics such as python are actually illegal in certain places (such as California) so its incredible that designers such as Stella McCartney (who only uses vegan materials) has delivered that stunning texture in animal friendly fabrics… Check out some of my favorite textured accessories that take the bags and shoes we love to another level – and you won’t want to take your eye or hands off them!

MOMMA WANTS… these Sophia Webster shoes!

Theses new Sophia Webster shoes are making my heart go pitter patter!

I have made no secrets about my love for Sophia Webster shoes… My butterfly shoes put a smile on my face every time I walk into my closet… In fact, when I wear them I get stopped every few minutes so that women (and men) can ask me about them, fawn over them and even take their picture… My Sophia Webster’s are quite the celebrity in these parts… Well, these new Sophia Webster shoes have caught my attention and I am completely fixated! They are stunning, innovative, metallic, neon – you know everything I could possibly want in a shoe… These shoes ARE the outfit – jeans and a white tee transformed, your old little black dress brought to life… They are style changers… I just had to share these with you because, well, if I can’t have them (and believe me – I want them – in a size 39 thank you), someone should!!!

MOMMA LOVES… mini bags (take a load off)

Mini bags like this fabulous Gucci are perfect for running around town, or an evening ON the town for when you just want/need to feel fashionable & free.

I have beginning to notice and huge influx of mini bags and I’m liking it! I’m not talking about evening bags – I’m talking about scaled down bags that can work for both day and night but give your poor back, shoulders and arm a much needed break. Mini bags don’t hold a lot – some money, keys, a cell phone – but it also sends the message to those around you that if they want something they’re going to have to carry it themselves. There resemble the larger versions in similar styles but they are a fraction of the size so far easier to carry around. They are also great for those of us who have been carrying around a diaper bag and our normal oversized tote – why not swap out that cumbersome bag for one of the amazing mini bags out there that give you the style you crave without the added weight. These mini bags are usually cross body but regardless they are lightweight and give you the freedom to go for a long walk, do your shopping and even go out dancing! MOMMA LOVES… mixed media shoes

My beloved Christian Louboutin mixed media shoes – they’ve got a bit of everything I crave!

You may be wondering what are mixed media shoes? Mixed media shoes basically combine fabrication – so pvc with leather, metal with suede and so forth. The mixing of these fabrics creates for a more interesting, richer more awe inspiring accessory. You may have noticed how much more artistic and creative shoes have been getting and it’s all thanks to the genius designers who are breaking new grounds with their designs by opting for unexpected material combinations. Mixed media shoes are futuristic, referential and for women like me, who obsess over the latest and greatest accessories, they are heaven sent. When I wore my Sophia Webster butterfly shoes out the other day, I literally got stopped every few minutes by people asking about them, commenting and even taking pictures – there is absolutely no doubt that great accessories can make the outfit and greatness keeps getting more inventive with these combined fabrications… Check out some of my favorite new mixed media shoes to get your hearts racing!
