MOMMAS UNDER $100… fall fashion for less

Yup, that’s a fake million dollar bill there max, but you don’t need millions to look fabulous because there’s so much amazing fall fashion for under $100!

The weather outside is cooling down and the layers keep coming and price tags add up so finding fall fashion for less is crucial for looking great, keeping warm and staying on budget! Winter clothes and accessories can get pricey – you need more of and they need to be thicker and cover more of you so naturally they’re going to cost more… Boots are more expensive than sandals and coats have a heftier price tag than, well, not wearing one. Great fall fashion for less is out there and while it is quite difficult to find a quality winter coat for under $100 the layers that go underneath are plentiful and fabulous. MOMMA WANTS… delicate personal jewelry

Like most kids Max loves to play with my makeup, jewelry shoes – but when his Auntie TTJ comes to town he is ALL about her personal jewelry – her Kimberly McDonald and best friend necklaces are always a favorite!

Tis the season to start thinking about what you want for christmas and personal jewelry is always a winner! Personal jewelry are those sentimental delicate pieces that subtly define you – they’re those necklaces, rings, bracelets that you wear everyday. They become a second skin, and while you don’t register that you’re wearing them you would feel naked without them. Personal jewelry is exactly that, personal, sentimental – not necessarily expensive but chosen with great thought. Whether it’s a simple band on your pinky finger, the little heart earrings you never take out, a necklace with a simple charm – these are the things you bookmark and send to your husband, they are the things you might one day pass on to your children. I, personally, don’t wear a lot of jewelry but the pieces I wear I never take off – my Cartier love bracelets, my Anita Ko diamond spike earrings, me wedding rings – all gifts from my husband, all deeply meaningful and each with a story that makes me smile. MOMMA LOVES… summer accessories (to pop your look)

We love our summer accessories – not only are they cute!

Sometimes they can actually be functional too!

With the warmer weather we lose our layers – jackets, coats, sweaters all go into storage and outfits get simpler, so its up to summer accessories to give your look a bit of a pop. I’m not talking about bags and shoes – I do plenty of those posts, I’m talking about the less talked about scarves, hats, sunglasses and the like, which can truly make an outfit. A simple pair of shorts and t-shirt can go from bland to super stylish with the right hat and jewels. MOMMA LOVES… cool girl pearls (these aren’t grandma’s)

Max trying to clutch my pearls! I love my Zara choker and Alexander Mcqueen ring – gives a nod to the classic with an ultra modern twist.

I have noticed recently that pearls have made a serious comeback. I mean, comeback is a strange way to put it since they haven’t gone anywhere,and will always reference a certain type of classic ladylike elegance, but there’s a new pearl in town and it’s got a lot more bite! These pearls are often faux, oversized, ironic an endlessly cool. They’re fresh (but not necessarily freshwater), young and so much more interesting than Grandma’s tried and true. For the longest time pearls have gotten a bit of a bad wrap and have been thought to be a bit old fashioned, but not anymore – they’re statement pieces and they couldn’t be more modern. Whether oversized and chunky or minimal and more interesting these pearls can truly make the outfit. Check out the latest and greatest cool girl pearls and be prepared to want them all!
