Plaid is as adorable on the little ones as it is versatile for us – it can go seamlessly from the office to the weekend to the evening whether your preppy or punk – this trend is here to stay!

There is no question that everyone is mad for plaid this fall. Various versions of the tartan print can be found on everything from relaxed western shirts to high fashion dresses making it THE trend to look out for. Whether you prefer your plaid bold and bright or small and subdued there is an option that will perfectly suit your style. Plaid is one part polished and conservative, so perfect for the office and one part referential to the british punk movement making it versatile, cool and style. These Free People overalls are brilliant for a relaxed yet cool look.

I can run around town on my errands and then come back and play in the garden with my Max!

In the last few years we’ve seen overalls go from the down on the farm to favorite among the fashion elite. Its become a style staple amount editors, bloggers, stylists and celebrities and can officially be called a classic. MOMMA LOVES… pajama style pants

It was labor day yesterday… So max and I didn’t want to get out of our pajamas…

So we put on our favorite pajama style pants

So we could look cool and still be comfortable all day…

I am absolutely obsessed with the pajama style pants trend that it not only incredibly comfortable but super chic and stylish too! Everything from printed to drawsting to silk pants are incredibly popular and with good reason – who wouldn’t want to look great and still feel like they’re in their jammies! Pajama style pants are a win win on every front. No matter what your age, style or income their is a fantastic option for you that you’ll want to absolutely live in! MOMMA NEEDS… transitional knits

I am obsessed with my new ALC sweater – its the perfect transitional knit! I guess it’s time to get ready for fall!

I actually look forward to wearing knits and jackets (this is southern California so nothing much heavier for us)!

But we’re still going to soak in every bit of summer we have left!

Its that time of year again, when there are a few summer bits left on the sale racks and fall fashion is in full bloom – so it’s time to start looking for those transitional knits! The great sweaters that will see us through the next few months as the nights get chillier but will still be entirely useful under those big heavy winter coats. Transitional knits are not those great chunky knits – these are thinner, more streamline and add an extra layer of warmth without leaving you feeling over heated. They are the perfect items of clothing to buy right now because you can wear it now and you can wear it later! Transitional knits are the perfect pullover or cardigan to throw in your bag and throw over your summer look when the air gets crisp. MOMMA NEEDS… pajamas (b/c bedtime should look good too)

Bedtime should look good too!! Time for some great pajamas for both us and our little ones!

There is one area of my wardrobe I need to focus more attention on – my pajamas… You spend a large amount of time out of every day in them and yet I find myself sticking to my husband’s old t’s and underwear…. While this is comfortable and easy, its time for me to grow up and look into getting some real big girl pajamas. My little one looks so adorable in his jammies so, why can’t I? Something soft and comfortable that doesn’t look like it should be used to clean the house… There is nothing quite like a lazy sunday morning eating breakfast in bed and not getting out of our pajamas until noon so they may as well be cute, right? MOMMA LOVES… fit and flare dresses

Mom and Dad finally get a night out – he gets the keys to the house and we get some alone time!! (PS – don’t worry, he gets to hang with his Nana and Papou!)

My favorite little fit and flare dress is the perfect look for the rare occasion called – date night!

The hour glass silhouette defines femininity and nothing accomplishes this look better than fit and flare dresses. Form fitted on top with a defined waist with a increased volume at the hips is not only a figure flattering shape but has withstood the test of time for as long as women wore dresses. Fit and flare dresses, in varying extremities, are a favorite among designers from haute couture to street style because they are captivating and architectural yet they actually make sense for real women.
