Great summer knits and light, breathable and the perfect outer layer for when the sun goes down.

The thought of summer knits may seem counter intuitive but what better way to buy things now that you can layer and wear later too! Summer stock is vanishing quickly so it’s time to start thinking about those transitional pieces that get us from season to season. Perfect summer knits can be supper light weight, open weave or translate into sexier cuts and silhouettes but there’s no question – they’re fabulous. When the nights get cooler there is nothing better to throw on that something that gives us that extra layer without adding bulk or taking away from our great summer look. This isn’t an outerwear kind of season, but it’s just perfect for some great summer knits. Light sexy sweaters are always in style and always a great addition to any wardrobe. The most important piece of furniture in the nursery for YOU. The rocking chair/glider is a must have!

Great gliders are often the centerpieces of our nurseries. Unlike everything else for our children’s room – these rockers aren’t something that we have to get rid of in a free years so they should be something you truly love. Our little ones quickly out grow their crib, changing table and even the decor in as little as 2 years, but the gliders are their to stay. MOMMA LOVES… boyfriend jeans (that aren’t your bf’s jeans)

Ahhhh, boyfriend jeans, denim’s gift to women… For year we’ve stolen our partner’s pants for a casual Sunday afternoon and even in the early days of pregnancy but somewhere along the line they became a thing. A real, proper, undeniable trend. These boyfriend jeans have been redesigned so they’re relaxed in all the right places but still 100% feminine. Pair them with flats and you’re favorite little white tee for running errands or chasing our little one around the part or with a great sexy top and sky high heels for a cool evening on the own – they are super sexy in the most understated way. I love love love personalized jewelry because I believe that jewelry should be personal. Just call me sporty spice – I may not be the most athletic but I love some comfy chic style…

Ladies, I am not athletic type hiking the canyons and hitting the gym but I don’t mind a bit of sporty chic every now and then. Sportswear has infiltrated the land of ready to wear in recent years and the look has an urban edge making it more wearable than traditional workout wear. Thanks largely to designer Alexander Wang sporty chic has been in vogue for some time and showing no signs of abating. What this means for us is that we get the comfort and ease of being in our sweats while remaining stylish. True sporty chic is all in the details – your traditional sweatshirt in luxe fabrics like silk or cashmere, and super cool techno elements that give your look a sporty chic edge. Bright white accessories scream summertime baby!

That’s right, I said it – white accessories because it’s now of never. The fashion lore goes that there’s a no white after Labor Day clause in the fashion constitution (although any true fashionista will tell you rules are meant to be broken) so guess what ladies – it’s time! It’s time to rock the white accessories like they’ll not be seen again until next year come September. Those gorgeous, crisp and clean bags and shoes that make me neurotically chase my child around with a wet paper towel when the ice cream truck shows up are beyond fabulous and add the perfect exclamation to point to every outfit. MOMMA LOVES… the midi length (for skirts & dresses)

The great midi lengths give you exactly what you want – whether sleek and body con or sweeping and feminine – it’s a must have!

A friend of mine was skyping me while choosing a dress for an event and she held up a gorgeous red midi length dress and proclaimed – “I like the color but I’m not sure about the length..” I recoiled in horror and screamed “put it on right now!!! It’s THE length to be in right now!” I understand why it’s an intimidating length – cut below the knee somewhere around mid calf – it’s certain to make your dad happy – but the truth is it’s incredible feminine, sexy and MODERN. The midi length for both skirts and dresses has been wildly popular for the past 2 years and with good reason – ladylike chic. If you’re concerned about it being too unsexy (because we all want a bit of sex appeal) opt for a more body conscious silhouette and high pair of heels but make no mistake this is THE must have length for all the fashion loving ladies. One of the most important thing on every expectant mother’s wish list are fabulous baby bags. IT’s these diaper bags you’ll be hauling around 24/7 to carry all the diapers, wipes, binkies and blankets that come with having a baby. The best baby bags are light weight but sizable so you can carry around everything you might need in an emergency blow out situation (trust me within the first week you’ll know what this is) without killing your back. I remember the day after I got out of the hospital we were taking Max t the pediatrician for a weigh in and I wasn’t going to bring my Gucci baby bag since we weren’t going to be long, but grabbed it at the last minute… which was fortunate as upon arrival at the Dr. I discovered my first full blown blow out situation.
